Switching from a brand name drug to a generic drug, or from one generic
drug to another can cause reactions.
The FDA says that the average variance between the name brand and the
generic is 3.5 percent, but, about 50 medications vary
by 10 percent or more.
TIP: If you experience any
reactions or side effects from a generic version, have your
doctor write in the prescription: “DO
NOT SUBSTITUTE”.
