Monica J. Foster of Landis, N.C. is “The Life Beyond Limits Coach” for veterans and others with disabilities at BUTTERFLYWHEEL Motivation Advocacy & Consulting (www.butterflywheel.com) where she is a certified life coach, writes on life with a disability for various publications, speaks to motivate and raise awareness. She is also a daughter and wife – on wheels – with spina bifida from birth and an above knee amputation in January 2010 due to a life-threatening infection. Her parents, Royce and Gail Jackson, are a Coast Guard veteran and retired teacher. She is married to Bryan K. Foster, a juvenile court counselor.
