AJ

We have a tradition of decorating the tree a few weeks before Christmas. We start celebrating December 10th, the day of my son’s birthday. A.J. was born premature and had his first heart surgery 13 days after he was born…two days before Christmas. He was then diagnosed with DiGeorge Syndrome. He has been through a lot, and Christmas is particularly special because of how much he has overcome. He is 8 now and has had multiple heart surgeries. He has been off the feeding tube for almost 4 years now. He is such a Blessing! His smile gets all of us through the hard times because no matter how hard things get, his smile is always there.
