Emma Elizabeth Largent
This issue’s cover-gal, dressed in red and looking very happy, is Emma Elizabeth Largent who is 5 1/2 years old. Emma has been diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder with no name (because no one else has it) as well as with tracheomalacia, laryngomalacia, congenital heart defect, chronic lung disease, chronic lung disease, chronic kidney disease stage 1, tethered spinal cord and chronic dislocated radial head. Although unable to speak, she loves to be outside (but hates the sun). She also loves glow sticks and balloons. Recently, she has walked 4 feet unassisted and has said “WOOO” like an owl.
