From The Heart: Knowledge is Power… but, to Create Change Requires Understanding
Welcome to the Premier Digital Edition. We are pleased and proud to be able to bring it to you.
Speaking of proud, we are extremely honored to have Eunice Kennedy Shriver on the cover of our premier cover. August 11th marks the one-year anniversary of her passing. We, at PSN Magazine, believe in many of the goals that Eunice achieved, only working to help facilitate her legacy in a magazine format. As you will read in the article, her dedication and vision have helped the lives of countless people living with special needs. The Special Olympics has allowed so many people the opportunity to grow, participate, and celebrate the fun of competition.
In addition, and speaking of competing, who would think something as little and “not generally thought about” as shoelaces could change your life? Well, Locklaces certainly knew and have been helping athletes over the years. They have even changed the life of one of our contributing writers as you will discover in her article.
We strongly believe that knowledge is power… but, to create change requires understanding. We believe we have a simple way to encourage all of you to act and to help others understand different abilities. See pages 28-31.
