Sweet Potatoes + Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal
Add a little FUN to this Thanksgiving side dish.
Fun Facts:
“Yams” and sweet potatoes taste the same in America because they are the same. What grocery stores call “yams” are actually sweet potatoes. Real “yams” are not grown in America (Source: Sweet Potato Council).
[Candied Yam Crunch Ingredients]
- 1 (40-oz.) can sweet potatoes drained.
- 1/2 cup butter (one stick).
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
- 1-1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
- 1 (2-oz.) container Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal or Frosted Flakes
Preheat oven to 400° F and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until sweet potatoes are tender and marshmallows have melted and are toasted on top.
