How to Make Surprise Peeps Eggs – A Fun Easter Treat!

Peeps Eggs Ingredients:
- Peeps (any color, but yellow and pink work great)
- Rice Krispies cereal
- Butter (1 tablespoon per color)
- Plastic Easter eggs (or any small plastic egg molds)
- Chocolate (for the surprise center)
- Non-stick cooking spray (to prevent sticking)

Preparation Instructions:
Start by unwrapping your Peeps and separating them into different colors. You’ll need a variety of colors to make the eggs look vibrant and fun.
Melt the Peeps:
- Place each color of Peeps into separate microwave-safe bowls.
- Add 1 tablespoon of butter to each bowl (pre-cut for easy use).
- Microwave each bowl for about 45 seconds or until the Peeps are fully melted and soft.
Mix with Rice Krispies:
- Add 1.5 cups of Rice Krispies cereal to each bowl of melted Peeps. Stir the mixture well to ensure the Rice Krispies are evenly coated with the melted Peep mixture.
- If necessary, use additional bowls to separate the colors for easier handling.
Shape the Surprise Eggs:
- Prepare your plastic eggs by spraying the inside with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Begin by taking a small amount of the Peeps-Rice Krispies mixture and shape it into a small ball or egg shape.
- Create a small indentation in the center and place a piece of chocolate inside. This will be your surprise center!
- Place the top half of the Peeps-Rice Krispies mixture over the chocolate and squish the egg together, making sure the chocolate is completely hidden inside.
Form and Set:
- Once your egg is shaped, carefully place it inside the plastic egg mold and press to ensure it holds its shape.
- Let the eggs set in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to an hour, allowing them to firm up.
Unmold and Serve:
- Once the eggs have hardened, carefully remove them from the molds.
