Staying Healthy with a Proper Diet
Proper Diet
What if the big pharmaceutical companies went out of business because their star drug was proven to cause serious and irreversible damage to the human body? What if a change in diet could not only do what the damaging drug was doing, but went several steps further to create a healthier, improved, happier and content body? What if paying a bit more for natural and organic food, rather than supporting the big drug companies, actually lowered your family‘s overall medical bills and gave you back the family you dreamed about having, so many years ago? What if…?
This is not a fictitious story. It is fact, proven the world over, with high success rates at over 70%, perhaps even higher, with no ill side effects, no health risks, just by eating real, natural, chemical free food, making healthier, happier bodies.
I am talking about changing your diet to becoming dye free, preservative free, chemical free and perhaps also gluten free, soy free, yeast free, sugar free and maybe even removing some other commonly eaten foods that are harming your body.
Some people have allergies, but more have intolerances to the aforementioned foods. Do not think of it as¯taking away these foods from your family, think of it as substituting other foods that can make your family feel better, look better, behave better, perform better and fit better into school and other typical environments without an incidence occurring.
It can be done and has been done across the globe, by thousands of families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADD/ADHD, mental illness and other disorders. It may sound crazy at first, but after some detailed research into this amazing phenomenon, you, too, will see what thousands of other families see on a daily basis—a miracle.
Real food makes you feel good. Bad food makes you feel bad! If you do not believe it, view the documentary: Super Size Me
Even doctors were shocked at how seriously ill the documentary film maker, Morgan Spurlock became after just one month of eating nothing but a certain company’s fast food selections. Spurlock, who was then 32 years old, gained 24 pounds, increasing his body mass by 13%. His cholesterol sky rocketed to 230 mg. And he was experienced mood swings, sexual dysfunction, and fat accumulation in his liver. This was only due to the effects of his unhealthy diet. It took him over five months to get his body back, where it was prior to doing this experiment
You can do it! Even if you currently do not eat well, you can change things around for your family!
The first step is to stay away from food establishments that serve unhealthy foods. Look at the ingredients and nutritional details. Read labels, before you eat the foods. This includes grocery story bought foods. There are many grocery stores that prefer to only keep healthy or 99% healthy foods stocked in their stores. Read the labels. Be aware! Look for real food!
You need to stay away from bad fats, and sugars. A small amount is ok, but not something that is consumed daily. There are good fats, which are essential for optimum health. Some of these must be consumed daily. Here are some fatty foods that are great for your health: avocados, olives, olive oil (depending on how it is made and used), nuts (almonds, peanuts, macadamia nuts, hazelnuts, pecans, cashews, walnuts), natural nut butters (containing just nuts and salt, or salt free), soy, sunflower, sesame, flax and pumpkin seeds, fatty fish (salmon, tuna, mackerel, herring, trout, sardines) (Limit fish intake, due to mercury ) AVOID IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES OR INTOLERENCES! For more information: https://www.helpguide.org/articles/healthy-eating/choosing-healthy-fats.htm Some of these items can be damaged if subjected to being heated at certain temperatures.
Omega-3 fats are essential for optimum health. There has been a lot of research that has shown that eating Omega 3’s or taking a supplement (yet, food is always the better choice, if possible) can assist with depression, mental illness, ADHD, heart disease, strokes, cancer, memory loss, fatigue, skin problems, joint pain and more. Some foods that have good sources of Omega-3s are certain fish, certain shellfish, Brussel sprouts, walnuts, flaxseeds, spinach, kale and fish oil. Do your research!
Many people have had great success with changing to a gluten free diet. Research has confirmed huge changes occur with mood, behavior, physical and emotional health when gluten is removed from some people’s diet. 1 in 133 people have Celiac Disease, which is an intolerance to gluten. Many people with Down syndrome have Celiac Disease. In 2017 the amount of gluten free products out there are enormous. Stores, web sites, and farmers markets offer large amounts of gluten free products. It has become a big business, but it is saving lives.
If you have not been to a non-traditional grocery store, do yourself a favor and check it out. You will see ingredients on the labels that you recognize, AKA REAL FOOD! You will see many organic options, as well as allergy friendly foods. Why not change today for a healthier tomorrow!
