This article will demystify the erroneous concepts of entrepreneurship and clarify the many benefits of keeping a business venture simple and small, or Micro! Will also include what language to use when writing an executive summary for a micro-enterprise.
O – Objectives of “Person-Venture” Entrepreneurship
This article will clarify the distinct differences between traditional business ventures vs. “Person-Ventured” businesses. The article will also include critical language on approaching support systems and organizing supports for a “Person-Ventured” Micro-Enterprise.
V = Viable Concepts
This article will speak about the importance of business concepts for persons with disabilities, not focus on whether it is viable for business, but more importantly, viable opportunities for independence. A “Person-ventured” business venture should focus on increasing capacities, not addressing incapacities. The FOCUS SHOULD BE ON JOY, PASSION & DESIRES that make the concept viable. This article will also include language that an executive summary that explicitly describes in detail how the business concept is a “FIT” for the person based on their abilities & supports.
E = Everyone Should be Educated on Entrepreneurship
This article will focus on the dire need for sustainability and follow-through for “Person-Ventured” Businesses. It will connect that sustainability with the need for family members, professionals and even friends to partake in the education of “Person-Ventured” Entrepreneurship in order ensure that all whom collectively make up the ‘support system’ of that person, be as knowledgable about entrepreneurship, as the person him or herself. This article will also encourage that the executive summary include strategies for ongoing education and learning, not only for the person, but for all involved in the process.
