Ask Special Parents: I Am Looking into Purchasing a New Light Weight Stroller for Shopping Trips
We have a 4 year old diagnosed with Developmental Delay. She is mobile – walks and runs. But she tires easily and gets very distracted. I am looking into purchasing a new light weight stroller for shopping trips, zoo trips and Disney World. Any suggestions? Are their typical strollers out there that will grow with her or should I look into therapeutic strollers?

We use a Convaid, and have travelled with it in Canada, Florida, Mexico, Jamaica, Grand Cayman’s, and California. It has held up to numerous airports and fun adventures. The best part is she got to order it in her favorite color – purple. I like the model with the hand brakes. My child (age 10) can walk but tires easily and then has episodes where she cannot talk or use her arm and leg. Insurance cover ours, but, if you like Convaid you can enter their contest.

Other recommendations Convaid Metro Stroller, EZ Rider, Portable Wheelchairs, Maclaren Strollers, Stealth Lightning Stroller.
