Sweet Potatoes + Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal
Add a little FUN to this Thanksgiving side dish.
Fun Facts:
โYamsโ and sweet potatoes taste the same in America because they are the same. What grocery stores call โyamsโ are actually sweet potatoes. Real โyamsโ are not grown in America (Source: Sweet Potato Council).
[Candied Yam Crunch Ingredients]
- 1 (40-oz.) can sweet potatoes drained.
- 1/2 cup butter (one stick).
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
- 1-1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
- 1 (2-oz.) container Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal or Frosted Flakes
Preheat oven to 400ยฐ F and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until sweet potatoes are tender and marshmallows have melted and are toasted on top.
