Jenni Anderson “Everyday Hero”
We are so blessed by all the volunteers we have at the Thompson Station Church Stone Soup special needs ministry events. The love and special detail each volunteer brings is the key to the success of Stone Soup – Friends of all abilities. We have several volunteers that work in the field professionally and bring wonderful experiences to share. All of our volunteers have a huge heart and love the kids.
We would like to recognize one of our veteran volunteers, Jenni Anderson, who has been with us for 5 years, ever since we started Stone Soup at TSC. Jenni herself has special health issues that make it very hard for her to breathe on most days. She has had a heart condition since birth and has been in heart failure since last fall.
Jenni always made the crafts for Sunday mornings for us until this past spring. She has a special place in her heart for the children; she loves them and they love her. She even worried about the crafts while in the hospital, and made sure they got to the church for the children.
Jenni has served every year with our Vacation Bible School program including this past summer, when she volunteered while in a wheelchair, oxygen tank in tow. Nothing stops her from serving the Lord she loves. Jenni is the type of special person that touches everyone. Her example of obedience is something for us all to take notice of and follow. She has a beautiful smile that lights up whatever room she’s in. Jenni, everyone at TSC Stone Soup loves you and thanks you for all your hard work!
Jenni added, “Even though I cannot volunteer with Stone Soup any longer, I will always pray for them, and they will always hold a special place within my heart!”
