Impact of Mom’s Failed Attempts at Advocacy
Nina G. Shares about the Impact of Her Mom’s Failed Attempts at Advocacy
Nina G is America’s favorite female stuttering stand up comedian (granted she is the only one). She is also a disability activist, storyteller, children’s book author and educator. She brings her humor to help people confront and understand social justice issues such as disability, diversity, and equity. In this clip, she talks about when she was first diagnosed with a Learning Disability (because she also has that) and her mom’s failed attempts at advocacy that had the greatest impact on her.
In 2015, she will premiere her “one-woman” show about growing up with Disabilities. You can find out more about Nina by visiting www. Ninagcomedian.com
