Susan Boyle Truly Inspirational
At this point, who hasn’t heard of Susan Boyle after she stunned Simon Cowell and the audience of Britain’s Got Talent when she preformed “I Dreamed a Dream”? She became a worldwide phenomenon through “Youtube” with over 300 million hits.
I believe she made an even larger impression with a “real life” lesson for us all. The majority of us are guilty of judging “books by their covers”, as seen in the below video. Yet, beneath the covers of these “books” may be some stunningly beautiful surprises waiting to be revealed. For those of us who have children with “different abilities”, Susan is also a huge inspiration. Susan was deprived of oxygen during her birth and was diagnosed with learning difficulties. She endured the torment of other children and was even nicknamed “Susie Simple” at school. From her interview, prior to her performance on Britain’s Got Talent, you can tell Susan has lived a more sheltered life. Susan had a dream of becoming a professional singer but never had the opportunity. At 47 and proving that you are never too old to go after your dreams, Susan stepped on stage… going for her dream and ended up capturing the hearts of millions with her voice. Now, she is living her dream and truly an inspiration.
Susan Boyle’s highly anticipated album “I Dreamed a Dream” will debut the end of November. Congratulations Susan!!
